Abbas leads Arshan Group's healthcare and life sciences practice. His expertise sits at the intersection of causal inference, health economics, and real-world evidence — a combination he has operated at for over two decades across Yale School of Medicine, NYU, Cytel, Novo Nordisk, and Guardant Health. While each discipline represents deep standalone capability, it is their convergence that defines how he works: causal reasoning applied to economic and clinical decision-making, grounded in real-world data at scale.

He has developed novel causal inference methods published in leading journals, directed end-to-end RWE pipelines supporting regulatory submissions and market access strategy, and led applied analytics across the full evidence generation lifecycle. His technical foundation spans causal and Bayesian modeling, NLP/LLM systems, and statistical analysis plan development across R, Python, and C++.

Sepantam leads Arshan Group's small business practice and contributes analytical execution on healthcare engagements. On the small business side, he is the client-facing lead responsible for project architecture, data infrastructure design, workflow automation, and delivery. On the healthcare side, he supports HEOR economic model development, evidence synthesis, and technical documentation under senior advisory direction — with growing involvement in quantitative analysis as engagements develop.

His technical foundation was built through applied work: designing automated analytics infrastructure, building NLP classification systems at scale, and developing multi-system orchestration pipelines across real client environments.

  • Designed and built multiple automated analytics + NLP pipelines, customer classification relationship systems, and CRM reporting infrastructure across real client engagements
  • Architected data systems spanning multi-source ingestion, AI enrichment, structured output, and executive reporting
